Configure the Linksys SPA921 VoIP Phone to Work with Localphone

The Linksys SPA921 is a VoIP phone which lets you make cheap calls with Localphone’s VoIP services, without the need for a traditional phone line. This guide describes how to configure the device to work with your Localphone account.

  1. Connect and Log in to Your Linksys SPA921

    Follow the instructions that came with your Linksys SPA921 to connect and log in to the device’s configuration console.

  2. Enter Your Localphone Account Details

    Choose “Ext 1” from the top navigation and on the new screen enter the following details to configure your Localphone account, leaving any other fields blank or as their default value:

    Proxy localphone.com
    Display name [Full Name]
    User ID [DID]
    Password [SIP Password]
    Auth ID [SIP ID]
    Use DNS SRV Yes
    DNS SRV Auto Prefix Yes
  3. Check Your Configuration

    Now that you have added your Localphone account settings to the Linksys SPA921, the form should resemble the following:

    Use the “Submit All Changes” button to store the new Localphone configuration.
