Configure the PLANET VIP-154 VoIP Phone to Work with Localphone

The PLANET VIP-154 is a VoIP phone which lets you make cheap calls with Localphone’s VoIP services, without the need for a traditional phone line. This guide describes how to configure the device to work with your Localphone account.

  1. Connect and Log in to Your PLANET VIP-154

    Follow the instructions that came with your PLANET VIP-154 to connect and log in to the device’s configuration console. The default username is “root” with no password, though these values may have been changed during installation.

  2. Enter Your Localphone Account Details

    Choose “SIP Settings” from the left-hand navigation, followed by the “Service Domain” option. On the new page enter the following details to configure your Localphone account, leaving any others blank or as their default value:

    Display Name [Full Name]
    Line Number [DID]
    Register Name [SIP ID]
    Register Password [SIP Password]
    Domain Server localphone.com
    Proxy Server proxy.localphone.com
    Subscribe for MWI On

  3. Check Your Configuration

    Now that you have configured your PLANET VIP-154 to work with your Localphone account, the form should resemble the following:

  4. Save Your Settings and Reboot the PLANET VIP-154

    Use the “Submit” button to store the new Localphone configuration, and reboot your PLANET VIP-154 with the “Reboot” button.
